Hi bandmates,

I am pleased to see that there is an increase in the number of pupils attending individual/section practice today. Please keep up with your good work as we progress!

However, for those who choose to attend our band practices whenever they like may be trying to tell us that:

1) You are afraid of making mistakes
You want to runaway. You are stressed. You want to stay away from your seniors/peers. You are afraid that you will get scolded.

2) You are selfish
You do not want to shoulder responsibilities. Has this phrase, "Even if I don't come for band, my seniors/peers will help me cover my parts! So what's the BIG DEAL?", ever come across your mind before? If yes, you are in the wrong!

3) You are too good to be in this band
You need not to practice because you are already a professional. You think that you belong to a more professional band.

4) You do not enjoy
PRESSURE, PRESSURE, PRESSURE...

5) You are cold-hearted
You do not think of how the others feel. Even if you have hurt them, you do not have to worry as you yourself is not hurt at all!

This is a warning. I believe that we humans are egoistic and cannot afford to lose our dignity. If you do not want the whole band to have a bad impression of you, come to band and face the music! We will not abandon you as long as you do not abandon us.


Dear committee members,
I would like to apologise that I had cancelled our meeting today as not all committee members have received this infomation. We can only conduct our committee meeting effectively when every member is present. There will be a short meeting tmr after band practice. We will be discussing about how to teach our members more effectively and also about getting more organised. I hope that we will have enough time tmr for us to conduct our meeting together before the school closes.

Band practice tmr will start@ 1.30pm. Please be in your PE attire as we will be doing running. Malay pupils will be excused. However, Sec 1s have to report to Mdm Azlina @ 1.30pm. BE RESPONSIBLE. BE PUNCTUAL.
