4 DAYS TO SYF 2011

Enjoy the process of making good music. Like what MrWong said, it is the process that matters and our job is to make good music, forget about the medals first. Let's do our part well to do justice to the music we're playing and the result will naturally come. It's just this 5 days! Let's remember the directions given and we be different from other bands. :)

To not be afraid of performing on stage, to not be nervous. Its hard, but even if you are, you have to ensure that it will not affect your mind, because only then, we will not let the music down. Love the process of making music, because its what matters most. It is your job to make every rehearsal, every performance count be it a small or big events, because we are musicians and we make music not noise. Everyone counts, The band is as strong as its weakest player. So all of us play a part, and every single one is important! Let's do our best in making good music with good basics alright? :) We're all in this together!

.7 days to SYF 2011
Dearest band, it's only 7 days to SYF. Let's all hold on! Work for what you want and not only through words. The amount of efforts put in is the results you'll get. But more importantly, you need to enjoy making music on stage. How? Put your trust into mr Wong because he is the one who will be guiding you guys, and remember the mistakes we learnt and never do it. I trust you guys, do not be afraid, do not be nervous. Just by looking at mr Wong gives you all the assurance you need. As long as you look at mr Wong, you can't really see the audience. So, look at mr Wong :)

For tomorrow's performanc, treat it like syf. Showcase what you've learnt, same thing, look at mr Wong. You know you can do it! :) I'll see you guys tomorrow 630 am sharp in the bandroom. Jiayou band!

Hi band.

It is the last stretch already. We have no more time to waste, no more time to slack, no more time to say you are tired, no more time to say that you want to give up! No more!!
The seniors should know the feeling of attaining a silver again the last SYF, do you want to feel the same way that they felt when you are about to leave the conference hall in 2 weeks time? Please do not sabotage the band. We have spend so much time together, just trying to make all the rhythm/dynamic/tempo/articulation etc right, and at this point of time, if you feel like giving up, think back, how much time have your SL sacrifice just to make things back at the right track? Do you want to walk out of the conference hall to have the that awesome feeling? Do you want to feel that your efforts have been paid off? I am sure you do not want disappointments. Therefore, every time you feel like giving up, tell yourself, you cannot give up now!! You have no time to think about the negative stuffs.
Band, I am sure you have yet to polish up your choice and set piece. For the choice piece, the celebration, finale, victory and the ending, you need to put in a lot a lot a lot of effort. You know where you stand now, it all depends weather you want to do it or not.

Always remember the seniors, alumnis, mr wong, teacher-in-charge, current leaders lub you guys deep deep deep. :))))
